Shoulder Season

Shoulders are becoming more important this season.
Have you seen the new fashions for fall and winter? The cute little jackets that fall off the shoulder, the body hugging tops that gracefully fall over the shoulder exposing nice tan bodies......................well.................shoulders are more important now than ever! And so goes the rental season on the Panhandle. This "shoulder season" is becoming more important and attractive than ever. Rates are down and the weather could not be more pleasant.........................there is romance in the air, along with crisp evenings and you can still get a fabulous tan in the day at a price that you can't beat with a stick. You need to go to my favorite internet address for rentals www.vrbo.com and visit my rentals on the Panhandle. Here are the folllowing numbers to plug in #17230, #24723, #58131
Or better yet, you need to purchase your own getaway. You can visit www.BertandShawn.com to view what is available. Shoulders..........................hum........I bet you never thought they were so provocative and interesting.

What next?

Did I tell the world that I live in Seaside Florida on the Panhandle? A make believe world is what some of my friends tell me. I had a business aquaintance visit a day or so ago, and he made the comment that I do not live in the real world, and I guess he is right. I awaken to a fairytale city every morning. I can walk down my stairs and head to the small market that has shelves lined with gourmet items and a bakery with oodles of mouth watering sweets. I hop on my bike and peddle down the street with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and colorful cottages on my other and people with big smiles on their face. I own a three story building with a toy store on the first level, two apartments that I rent on the second level and my two bedroom apartment on the top.....the penthouse I guess? Yes, the Green Gecko started it all, it gave me the guts to purchase this building in this marvelous community and go forward. Ah, my first love, the Green Gecko. What's Next?

Making Sense

Renting vacation homes and condos brings out the best and worst in people. When you go on vacation and are paying good money for your temporary living quarters, you tend to expect more than what you get at home. But unrealistic expectations can ruin your week, and furthermore, you don't have the right to destroy or be wreckless with other people's property.

I have had folks try to sneak in a pet, inspite of the fact that I advertise........no pets!
Can anyone help me with why this is done?

The beginning

Donald Trump did it, why can't I? Okay, okay, he has millions to back him up, but he had to start with a lot less than he now has right? So, I took Nike's advice of........JUST DO IT!
I bought a lot, hired an architect and built my first little rental house that I named the Green Gecko. That was three years ago, and now the Green Gecko has stories to tell and began my first step into the rental market.
